Mischa barton was born on January 24, 1986, in Hammersmith, England. On the television series The O.C. she played Marissa Cooper a socialite. She appeared also in The Sixth Sense, a suspense movie. She also appeared in The Sixth Sensation, a suspense thriller. It was among the most watched television shows. In addition, she was a part of the highly rated TV show The O.C. Benjamin McKenzie, her lover. who as her love interest. The first time Barton appeared on television was in 1994 when she played the role of a young Corvina lang in flashbacks for the soap opera All My Children. In 1996, she was replaced by Michelle Trachtenberg's character Lily Benton Montgomery. The couple own numerous gymnastics related business interests including their own Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy. Comaneci serves on several boards for charities which include those of the Special Olympics International Muscular Dystrophy Association Board of Directors and Laureus Sports For Good Foundation. Additionally she has continued to give back to dozens of charitable causes within her home country of Romania including those at the Nadia Comaneci Children's Hospital in Bucharest.
